Ocean in sight.

Today I started out from Sisters Oregon and as I left town I turned onto OR242 Mckenzie pass road. What a delight to ride. When I got to OR126 I turned right and took that back up to US20 which I followed all the way to Newport OR and the pacific ocean. It was another warm riding day until I got about 5 miles from the ocean. Now the temp is about 65 and lovely. Now for some pics.
Sisters city campground, nice place. Bridge over creek built on top of two huge logs.
Nice forested area with some big mature trees.
Observatory, Lava fields, Mt Washington and a couple of the sisters.
The rushing river. The name? Don't know.
A little history thrown in.
Sunset at the beach and some nice places to sit. Tomorrow I think that I will head South along the coast before deciding where to turn left and start heading East. So far this trip I've logged 3433 miles. That's all for today.

  1. How very cool you made it to Oregon. We are in Corvallis, you probably went right through on Highway 20.

    Hope you enjoy the coast.
