New Year's Day ride

Today Jan 1. It was a good day to get a short ride in. Jean, Gib and I left their house about 9:30am. We decided to make a short loop up to the Sawmill Saloon and back. It ended up being a 30.6 mile clockwise loop.
After leaving their house it was pretty much a straight shot west on trail 77 over to trail 63 and head northeast.
Pulling the sleds out for the days ride.
Along trail 77 also called Phipps fire lane.
Making a stop at intersection 9B along trail 77.
Trail conditions were good today.
Running on trail 63. We had planned on stopping at the Wayside Inn but they weren't open yet.
We continued up to Seeley and stopped at the Sawmill Saloon. They must of had a deal on screwdrivers, it seemed like everybody had one including me. Upon leaving the bar we continued north on 63 to trail 111 and took that over to trail 8, we're headed home now.
There are fat tire bike trails thoughout this area along with X-country trails.
Along traill 111 and Boedeker road.
Trail 8. A really fun trail through the woods.
Another stop along the trail.
Another junction and a quick picture.
The turn onto trail 15, getting close to home now. Made a couple stops on the trail to remove some exposed rock. They just seem to pop up out of nowhere.
All in all it was a good day for a ride. Wish it had been longer.
