Woke up this morning to 6+ inches of new fluffy snow with it still coming down lightly. I met Jean and Gib at our usual spot near intersection 45 which is 2.75 miles from my house. We ran a counterclockwise route covering 43.5 miles. We only made one beverage/bathroom break and that was at Pat's Landing on Chief lake. Star 55 on map, bottom of circle.
Today's route.
Opened the garage door to some nice fresh snow. The snowblowing of the driveway will just have to wait until this afternoon.
The narrows between Lower and Upper Twin lakes on the Tiger Cat Flowage.
Jean coming out to meet me with Gib not far behind.
Trail 9 heading down onto Round lake.
At intersection 62 on the south end of Round lake. We turned right onto trail 29.
I wish that the sun had been out. Todays pictures would of been more stunning.
Turned left onto trail 30. About halfway to Pat's landing.
Running through the woods on trail 30.
Intersection 89 and a right hand turn.
More great riding and one more right hand turn. Gib headed to our stop.
Pat's Landing, inside and out.
We saw lots of people out riding today, the most we've encountered this season.
We were going to stop here but they didn't open till noon. It was 11:30. It's circle 152 on the map on trail 18, almost home.
Back out on trail 18.
Saw these two deer off in the distance moseying along just before my turnoff. It was a great day to go out for a ride.
