Sunday ride 1-19

I met Jean and Gib at their place at 9:45 this morning. Gib took us for a ride over to Nelson Lake Landing. Star 122 on the left edge of the map. We made real good time heading over there and back. 6+ inches of fresh now groomed snow on the trails makes a big difference. Today's route totaled 45 miles.
Today's route. Couterclockwise on the large loop.
Into the woods after coming off of the Tiger Cat Flowage.
We crossed the American Birkebiener ski trail on today's ride.
The Namakagon river was wide open here.
At intersection 14 a right hand turn and down this great trail.
Intersection 15 and a left turn.
Where trail 31 heads north towards Barnes. Another ride to do in the near future.
Nelson Lake Landing. Star 122 on map.
Nelson Lake, the start of our ride home.
At intersection 44 we decided to turn left and make a stop at Wayside Inn.
At the Wayside, circle 145 on the map we split a pizza. I forgot to take a picture of it but it sure was good. While there the groomer came in off the trails. This is just one of many that the local clubs operate to keep the trails in great shape.
Last picture before home.
