Fall Colors

Got a few more fall pictures on friday. I drove over to Carlton MN on friday to have lunch with a couple old friends. It was about 100 miles from my house, an easy two hour ride. A couple of the roads on the ride over were not in very good condition. I ended up coming most of the way home using a different route. Also I ran into some heavy fog. Visibility down a to quarter mile in places. It stayed cloudy the whole day so the colors on the trees didn't show all the great color that was there. It was great to spend about an hour and a half just talking and catching up.

First a couple deer pictures. They seem to really like it here.

First one of them decided to take a rest in the yard about 75 feet from the house and just layed there and watched the road.

Then another one decided to join in for a little rest. This is just one of the reasons I love living here so much. These were taken Thursday Sept 24 at 6pm.

On Friday I left the house about 9am.

WI Highway 77 and Sawyer cty M. Boy I wish the sun had been out. Instead there was fog ahead. I didn't get any pics of the fog.

Along east county road B west of WI hwy 53.

Third Base Bar in Carlton MN where we met for lunch. A great looking 1930 Ford flatbed truck build. It was powered by a Toyota 4 cylinder with a five speed manual transmission, also had rack and pinion steering and disc brakes. He told me it's his daily driver in the summer, stores it in the winter. I like the tilt out windshield.

I stopped along MN hwy 210 in Jay Cooke State Park to take a couple pictures.

On Saturday the 26th I hopped in the boat and went out for a ride with our son Jermaine and his wife Kelly. It was a nice day though still overcast.

I'm still hoping to get some more shots of the leaves before they all come down and maybe the sun will be out. It has been wet with rain and rather windy last night and today.

Hope you enjoyed the pictures.
