This past weekend my riding partners (Gib & Jean) and I rode both Sat and Sun.
On sat we headed up to Lake Namakagon. The first stop was Lakewoods Resort.
The main trail across Upper Twin Lake. Trail map of area is easy to get to for reference.
A nice trail through the woods.
Busy intersection.
I'm not sure what qualifies it for the title. At least the food was good.
Seemed like a pretty good turnout.
The white buiding in the distance is where they had grudge match drags. Race your friends.
Here are the people to help you when said (grudge match) goes badly.
After leaving Lakewoods we went up the lake to the 4seasons Resort were they where having Outlaw Snowmobile drag racing. It was another good turnout.
Two of the racers.
The winner was #109.
Our next stop. A little refreshment. Gib & Jean say they have good flatbread pizza.
Back into the woods as we head to our next stop.
Here we are at Dow's corner.
Getting initiated into I don't know what with hard cider I think?
Back on the trails towards our final stop of the day.
Fish Tales had a chile cook off to benefit "Fishing has no boundries".
A good cause.
The judge's table. They had 20 or 21 entries.
Saturdays ride was 73 mostly enjoyable miles, some of the trails needed grooming help.
Highlight of the day for me was being able to run across Round Lake at 85+mph, super fun.
Sunday we went to Seeley for lunch and met up with Kurt and his mom.
Ready to head out.
Beautiful clear cold day.
Our lunch stop. good food and friendly. Kurts mom on the left.
The river sure looks nice on a day like today.
Long straight stretch.
Hideaway in the woods. Sundays ride was only 36 miles.
Hope to get out again weds. It's supposed to warm up. It was -22(F) this morning.
I enjoyed the ride through your amazingly beautiful photos!
