Since my last post Nov 17 we've had a few dustings of snow but then it has warmed up and melted it.
This is all that remains.
Todays view from the deck at 10am.
With this better than average weather it gave me a chance to take care of a few more things outside. We didn't like the configuration of the steps at the entryway in front. So I turned it into a more proper landing. It has made a big difference. It just seems to be better. It may be hard to see in the photos, but what I basically did was double the size of the last step and filled in the gap to the left of the entry door.
Another small project was to build a landing and steps at the propane tank. It was not a good situation for me checking the level or the person filling the tank. The hill could get a little dicey in the winter or when the grass is wet or frosty.
It turned out really nice and should last a long time.
One of the other projects completed in the last couple weeks was a slide out extension for the cutting table I made for Wendie last spring. Simple constuction and works very well.
It just slides in and out on some aluminum angle mounted to 1x2 which is mounted to the bottom of the cutting table. I added a couple extra screws in the weight bearing area.
So last weekend I got involved helping my wife lay out the pattern on one of her new quilting projects. It is going to be a christmas tree skirt.
You take your pieces and lay them out on your quilt wall and then stand back and move them around until you like what you see. It is amazing how the pieces of fabic stick to the batting without any pins.
Here is Wendie getting started.
Here is me giving a helping hand.
It sure shrinks in size when you get them sown together. Now it is ready for the next step.
Last night we had a nice sunset with nice soft colors to end our Thanksgiving day.
There isn't much else to report on. I guess I should start to think about xmas shopping.
Until next time enjoy.
Those are some nice sunset pictures!!!
