Today ended up as the day I did a little more shopping and alot more people watching. Got to downtoewn Sturgis about 10:30 this morning and left about 3 this afternoon.
It took no time to find what I needed. Bought an 85th Sturgis rally 3'x5' flag for my garage. A clamp on cup holder for one of my other bikes and a new head wrap. So all that took about a half hour and the other 4 hours I sat mostly at the same place and watched people and looked at the bikes parade by. Oh and since it's the end of the rally everything is discounted. Good for me I say.
I'm just going to throw up a bunch of pictures now, alot of them with no explanation.
The exodus has begun in earnest today.
Harley Davidson stage downtown.
He sells a ton of shirts.
Loved this paint job and upholstery.
Hells Angels clubhouse.
Gotta have a picture of me, right?
The creek and railroad tracks border the east side of the campground.
Over the years of staying here I've noticed about a train a day inbound late day and outbound in the morning. Usually 30-50 cars and 3 or 4 locomotives, SD40-2. They mostly haul Bentonite out of Colony, WY.
Bentonite is a mineral with a 1000 uses. Google it.
That's all for now.
